Head Held High Services, Madan Padaki’s brainchild is a rural access accelerator that unleashes the power of the neo rural-urban community, providing career access to youth, business access to entrepreneurs and market access to corporates.
Since 2008, Head Held High trains zero or low-educated rural youth, transforming them into knowledge workers and enabling careers in the rural areas itself. The initiative has won among others, the CNN IBN Real Heroes Award, 2011 and the Global Sourcing Council Award 2011.
An engineer from NIE Mysore and an MBA from SPJIMR, Mumbai, Madan had worked with Wipro, Infosys and Mphasis (Japan) – before he was bitten by the entrepreneurial bug in 2000 when he co-founded MeritTrac which was later acquired by Manipal Global Education Services and is India’s largest skills assessment company today. Madan is also the co-founder & Director of Sylvant, an initiative that supports early-stage education for entrepreneurs and has a current portfolio of 4 companies globally.
In 2011, he was conferred The Young Education Leader Award by EDGE Forum – a forum of leading educationists and educational institutions in India. He is also on the Governing Council of TiE Bangalore, Indo-American Chamber of Commerce, Karnataka and is a founding Partner of Social Venture Partners, Bangalore.
