Healthcare Innovators
The week will unfold as follows, with each day centered on a unique theme.
Hear from and be inspired by major icons during interviews with a diverse range of speakers who are making world-changing impact; check out the on-demand content; join workshops (known as Discovery Sessions) to learn about something new or dive deep into a topic you already love; take part in the live Q&A; and join the community chat (based on pass type — see pass details below for more details).
The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.
A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!
Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
Dhruv Chaudhary is one of the creators and driving forces behind Thermavault, a breakthrough thermal storage solution designed to solve one of the most overlooked problems in global healthcare, cold-chain failure. As a high school senior with a passion for engineering and impact-driven innovation, Dhruv’s journey began not in a lab, but in the field where he witnessed firsthand the devastating consequences of temperature-sensitive vaccines and medicines going to waste in rural clinics due to unreliable electricity. What started as a frustrating observation quickly transformed into a personal mission: to build a system that didn’t depend on infrastructure to save lives.
The idea of Thermavault emerged from this urgency. Dhruv began prototyping a thermal storage box that could keep life-saving medicines cold without power, using principles of conductive materials, chemical reactions, and insulation. After countless iterations and failures, he developed a stackable copper-core container with a fluid-based cooling jacket powered by a safe, reusable salt mixture. His design could reliably maintain temperatures as low as 3°C using a reusable salt reaction, and down to -10°C with a single-use mix that is perfect for both short-term vaccine storage and deeper cold-chain use cases like organ transport.
Beyond the engineering, Dhruv is working to ensure Thermavault is usable, modular, affordable, and durable enough to survive real-world field conditions. His journey has included field testing in real hospitals to complete reworks of the design within just 6 months of initiation. Thermavault extends far beyond awards or recognition and acts as a gateway to equitable healthcare access, especially in underserved regions.
Today, Dhruv stands not just as a student innovator but as a rising voice in sustainable technology. His work with Thermavault reflects a belief that science should be actionable, empathetic, and built for the people who need it most.
